New England's only fixed-time track race
Welcome to the EA24!
The EA24 is a 6-, 12-, and 24-hour fixed-time track race held in scenic Bennington, VT -- 3 hours from Boston, 3:20 from Times Square in light traffic, and 4 hours from Montreal. Less than an hour from Albany International Airport (ALB).
Registration is capped at 80 total runners. Staggered starts - max. 65 runners on track at one time.
USATF Certified (VT18004JK) 397.63-meter all-weather fully-lit track. 100k and 100-mile splits are also certified in both directions. USATF Sanctioned and IAU Bronze Label event. There will be a turnaround every 4 hours.
Ample room to set up personal aid stations and trackside tables.
Staggered start times: the 24-hour starts at 9 AM, the 6-hour will start at 10 AM, and the 12-hour goes off at 9 PM. PLEASE NOTE the PM Start for the 12! The cooler overnight hours make the 12-hour a great opportunity to set a PR! Partial laps will be measured.
Covered table space will be available for out out-of-town runners. More portables than your wildest dreams. In addition, the MAUHS track boasts multiple flush toilets!! Outdoor hand-wash stations are located adjacent - please wash before you go reaching into those M&M's!
Timing provided by Mike Melton, MCM Timing. The race will be chip-timed with live timing and a lap readout available. Live web tracking will be available for family and friends.
In keeping with the long tradition of fixed-time races, the Ethan Allen 24 is "go-as-you-please." You may stop, rest, or leave the course at any time, but the clock keeps running and you must reenter the course at the same place you left it.
The EA24 will be photographed by renowned sports photographer Joe Viger. All participants will take home FREE web-sized downloads of their photos, courtesy of Nor'east Trail Runs! Higher resolution prints and downloads are also available - support your amazing photographers!
The aid station will be stocked with all the traditional favorites: Hammer HEED and Perpetuem, sweet and salty snacks, hot food throughout the day and night, plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, and local Vermont specialties.
This is a cupless race! Please help us keep things green by bringing your own bottle or cup. We will have plenty of room to put personal bottles trackside next to the aid station. We will be providing hot drinks in the overnight hours, so consider bringing a thermos or tumbler.
All runners will receive a custom medal and EA24 microfleece jacket! Runners completing over 100 miles will receive a pewter belt buckle. Custom handmade local awards for top 3 male and female finishers at each distance from JK Adams Co.
There will be an on-site awards breakfast for all distances at 9:00 AM on Sunday, July 14 in the cafeteria at Mount Anthony Union High School. PLEASE STAY FOR BREAKFAST!!!
